Overview
On record: LIM technology was developed in the Washington Olympic Peninsula beginning 1947 with U.S. government cooperation. Dr. Ophelia “Oppy” Turner is the principal inventor associated with the technology in recovered lore.
LIM (Liminal Interface Mechanism — agency expansion of the acronym is inconsistent across memos) couples ordinary instrumentation to a nonclassical field. Field gradients produce anomalies, Remnant habitation of objects, and — at extreme coupling — Mass Hallucination events.
